We use the same hole to breathe as we do to drink liquids. This sometimes causes something to go down the wrong pipe.
This seems like a serious design flaw to me. Why not have one hole exclusively for breathing and the other for eating/drinking? Different pipes.
For example, make it where you can pour liquids down the left nostril and breathe with the right.
Problem solved.
We have both a nose AND a mouth. Noses are specific for breathing – why then is the nose/mouth connected to the same (uhhh) tube?
Seems to be a definite design flaw.
