The term “thank you” seems pretty long compared to other languages, such as danke, gracias, and gratzi.
Also, isn’t it an incomplete sentence? Shouldn’t it be “I thank you” to be grammatically correct?

The “I” is implied. Thank you. And yes, you do have too much time on your hands.
