No Languages Please

Do we really need a multilingual trash can label? Isn’t it pretty clear what it is just by looking at it? It’s a hole where you put the things you don’t want anymore.

I’m not even saying English-only. I’m saying that we don’t need the English word trash on it. We don’t need any language on it.

If there was any wording that could be used, why not put it on the inside of the back, so that the trash bits can read “Nobody loves you” on the way down.

  1. My trash bins (3 of them — one for trash, one for recyclables, and one for compostables) have pictures on them showing what should and should not be tossed in each. And the bins are color coded, too. Yippee!
